[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ took a gold ring and put it on his right hand. He made the gem part face the inner palm of his hand. The people then started wearing gold rings. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ascended the pulpit, threw the ring away, and forbade wearing gold rings.  

أحمد:٦٤١٢حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى أَخْبَرَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ اتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَجَعَلَهُ فِي يَمِينِهِ وَجَعَلَ فَصَّهُ مِمَّا يَلِي بَاطِنَ كَفِّهِ فَاتَّخَذَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَ الذَّهَبِ قَالَ فَصَعِدَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمِنْبَرَ فَأَلْقَاهُ وَنَهَى عَنِ التَّخَتُّمِ بِالذَّهَبِ
