ahmad:59 – Mūsá b. Dāwud > Nāfiʿ / Ibn ʿUmar > Ibn Abū Mulaykah Qālaqīl Liʾabī Bakr Yā Khalīfah Allāh

O khaleefah (caliph) of Allah. He said: I am the khaleefah (lit. successor) of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I am pleased with that.  

أحمد:٥٩ – حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُمَرَ عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ قَالَقِيلَ لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ يَا خَلِيفَةَ اللهِ فَقَالَ

أَنَا خَلِيفَةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا رَاضٍ بِهِ
