[Machine] A Bedouin passed by him while they were on the way to Hajj. Ibn Umar said to him, "Are you so-and-so bin so-and-so?" He replied, "Yes." Ibn Umar then went to his donkey, on which he used to rest when tired, and his turban that he used to wrap around his head. He gave them to the Bedouin. When he left, some people said to him, "You gave him your donkey on which you used to rest and your turban that you used to wear on your head, and you only received a dirham in return?" He replied, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'The best form of righteousness is to maintain good relations with one's relatives, especially with one's father's loved ones, after he has died.'"

Arn't you so and so? He said: Yes He gave him his donkey and said: Ride it, and tie the turban round your head. Some of his companions said: May Allah pardon you, you gave to this desert Arab the donkey on which you enjoyed ride for diversion and the turban which you tied round your. head. Thereupon he said: Verily I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: The finest act of goodness is the kind treatment of a person to the loved ones of his father after his death and the father of this person was a friend of 'Umar.
