[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The month is twenty-nine days," and he clapped his hands twice, then clapped a third time and closed his thumb. Aisha said, "May Allah forgive Abu Abdullah, for he was very astute. Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ only avoided his wives for a month, then he descended on the twenty-ninth day." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, you descended on the twenty-ninth day?" He said, "Indeed, the month can be twenty-nine days."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الشَّهْرُ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ وَصَفَّقَ بِيَدَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ صَفَّقَ الثَّالِثَةَ وَقَبَضَ إِبْهَامَهُ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ غَفَرَ اللهُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ إِنَّهُ وَهِلَ إِنَّمَا هَجَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ نِسَاءَهُ شَهْرًا فَنَزَلَ لِتِسْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّكَ نَزَلَتْ لِتِسْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ ؟ فَقَالَ إِنَّ الشَّهْرَ يَكُونُ تِسْعًا وَعِشْرِينَ
