Uthman under siege relates a similar hadith

ahmad:438 – Abdullāh > ʿUbaydullah b. ʿUmar al-Qawārīrī > Ḥammād b. Zayd > Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd > Abū Umāmah b. Sahl b. Ḥunayf

[AI] He said: I was with Uthman in the house while he was under siege, and he said, "We used to enter through an entrance." Then he mentioned a hadith like it, and he said, "I had indeed heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say..." Then he mentioned a hadith like it, or something similar to it.

أحمد:٤٣٨ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُمَامَةَ بْنُ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ

قَالَ: إِنِّي لَمَعَ عُثْمَانَ فِي الدَّارِ وَهُوَ مَحْصُورٌ، وَقَالَ: كُنَّا نَدْخُلُ مَدْخَلًا، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ مِثْلَهُ، وَقَالَ: قَدْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ مِثْلَهُ أَوْ نَحْوَهُ.
