ahmad:27173Surayj And ʾAbū Jaʿfar al-Madāʾinī > ʿAbbād > Sufyān b. Ḥusayn > al-Zuhrī > ʿAbdullāh b. Kaʿb b. Mālik from his father

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ passed by a man who was following another man closely, so he asked, "What is this?" The man replied, "O Messenger of Allah, he owes me a debt." The Prophet signalled with his hand to take half of it, and I said, "O Messenger of Allah, yes." So he took half and left the other half.  

أحمد:٢٧١٧٣حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ وَأَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الْمَدَائِنِيُّ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَرَّ بِهِ وَهُوَ مُلَازِمٌ رَجُلًا فَقَالَ مَا هَذَا؟ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ غَرِيمٌ لِي وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ النِّصْفَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَأَخَذَ الشَّطْرَ وَتَرَكَ الشَّطْرَ
