ahmad:26092al-Ḍaḥḥāk b. Makhlad from my father > al-Zubayr b. ʿUbayd > Nāfiʿ > / Abū ʿĀṣim > Abū And Lā Adrī Man > / Nāfiʿ Hadhā

[Machine] My father, I don't know who he means by "beneficial." He said, "I used to trade to Syria or to Egypt." He said, "So I prepared to go to Iraq, and I entered upon Aisha, the mother of the believers, and I said, 'O mother of the believers, I have prepared to go to Iraq.' She said, 'What is wrong with you and your trade? For I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'If any one of you has provision in something, he should not leave it until it changes for him or he exchanges it for something else.' So I came to Iraq and then entered upon her, and I said, 'O mother of the believers, by Allah, I did not return the capital with any profit.' So she repeated the hadith to him or she said the hadith exactly as I narrated it to you."

I used to send trade goods to Sham and Egypt, then I prepared to send trade goods to 'Iraq. I went to 'Aishah, the Mother of the Believers, and said to her: " O Mother of the Believers I used to send trade goods to Sham and I am preparing to send trade goods to 'Iraq." She said: "Do not do that. What is wrong with the way you have been doing it? I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'If Allah causes provision to come to one of you through a certain means, he should not leave it unless it changes or deteriorates."
