[Machine] He said, "Her husband was a slave, and if he had been a free man, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would not have given her the option."  

أحمد:٢٥٣٦٧حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ مَنْصُورٍ إِلَّا

أَنَّهُ قَالَ كَانَ زَوْجُهَا عَبْدًا وَلَوْ كَانَ حُرًّا لَمْ يُخَيِّرْهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

While relating the tradition about Barirah A’ishah said “her husband was a slave, so the Prophet ﷺ gave her choice. She chose herself. Had he been a free man, he would not given her choice.”

كَانَ زَوْجُهَا عَبْدًا فَخَيَّرَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَاخْتَارَتْ نَفْسَهَا وَلَوْ كَانَ حُرًّا لَمْ يُخَيِّرْهَا
