ahmad:25328 – ʿAbd al-Razzāq > Sufyān > Muʿāwiyah b. Isḥāq > ʿĀʾishah b. Ṭalḥah > ʿĀʾishah

[Machine] I asked the Prophet ﷺ about Jihad, so he said, "Sufficient for you is Hajj, or he may have said, your Jihad is Hajj."  

أحمد:٢٥٣٢٨ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَالَتْ

سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنِ الْجِهَادِ؟ فَقَالَ بِحَسْبِكُنَّ الْحَجُّ أَوْ قَالَ جِهَادُكُنَّ الْحَجُّ

[Machine] She said, "We asked the Prophet ﷺ for permission to participate in Jihad, and he replied, 'Hajj is sufficient for you, or your Jihad can be performed through Hajj.'"

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ granted us permission for jihad, and he said, "Your jihad or the pilgrimage is enough for you."
