[Machine] Abi offered his sister to Salman, but he refused and married a maid named Buqairah. It was reported to Abu Qurrah that there was something between Salman and Hudhayfah, so he went seeking him. He was informed that he was in a storage area, so he headed towards him with a basket containing a stalk of dates that he had inserted his stick into, placed on his shoulder. Abu Abdallah asked, "What was between you and Hudhayfah?" He replied, "Salman says, 'And man is ever hasty.'" So, they set off until they reached Salman's house. Salman entered the house and greeted with, "Peace be upon you." Then he gave permission, and there was a straw mat placed against a door and at its head were bricks. Then there was a curtain, and he said, "Sit on the bed of your maid that she has prepared for herself." He continued speaking to him. He said, "Hudhayfah used to disclose things that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ told him in his anger towards certain people, and I ask about them. I say, 'Hudhayfah knows more about what he says, and I dislike any grievances between people.' So, I went to Hudhayfah, and it was said to him, 'Indeed, Salman does not believe you or disbelieve you in what you say.' Hudhayfah came to me and said, 'O Salman, son of Salman's mother!' I said, 'O Hudhayfah, son of Hudhayfah's mother, you must stop, or else I will write to Umar.' When I mentioned Umar to him, he left me. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'From the offspring of Adam I am, so any believing servant that I curse or revile someone without a valid cause, then make it incumbent upon him (i.e., prayer).'

[Machine] "He came to Basra, and with him was Abdullah Ibn Abbas as a leader. Then, he saw a man standing in the shade of the palace, saying 'Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth, Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth.' I approached him and said, 'You have repeated your statement that Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth.' He replied, 'By Allah, if you wish, I can tell you.' I said, 'Yes.' So he said, 'Then sit down.' He said, 'I met the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , while he was in the city at such and such a time, and there were two elders of the village who had a son. The son left, and they followed him, saying, 'You are going to the city, and our son has followe dthis man. Go to him and ask for him, and if he refuses anything but a ransom, then redeem him.' So I went to the city and entered upon the Prophet of Allah, ﷺ , and said, 'O Prophet of Allah, two elders of the village have ordered me to seek their son from you.' He asked, 'Do you know him?' I replied, 'I know his lineage.' So he called the boy and he came. The Prophet of Allah, ﷺ , said, 'He is here, so go and bring his parents.' I said, 'As a ransom, O Prophet of Allah?' He said, 'It is not appropriate for us, the family of Muhammad, to eat the ransom of the children of Isma'il.' Then he struck my shoulder and said, 'Should I not fear for the Quraysh except themselves?' I asked, 'What about them, O Prophet of Allah?' He said, 'If you live long enough, you will see them here, until you see the people crowded among them like sheep between two water troughs, moving from one to the other. I see people seeking permission to see Ibn Abbas, and I have seen them last year seeking permission to see Muawiyah. So I mentioned what the Prophet ﷺ had said."
