ahmad:2246 – Surayj b. al-Nuʿmān > Hushaym > Ḥuṣayn > ʿIkrimah > Ibn ʿAbbās

I (Ibn ʿAbbās) had memorized all of the Sunnah (traditions) except that: (1) I do not know whether or not the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited ˹anything˺ in Ẓuhr or ʿAṣr, and (2) I do not know how he used to recite this ḥarf: "and I have reached an old age..." ʿutiyyan or ʿusuyyan.  

أحمد:٢٢٤٦ – حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا حُصَيْنٌ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

قَدْ حَفِظْتُ السُّنَّةَ كُلَّهَا غَيْرَ أَنِّي لَا أَدْرِي أَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ أَمْ لَا وَلا أَدْرِي كَيْفَ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ هَذَا الْحَرْفَ {وَقَدْ بَلَغْتُ مِنَ الكِبَرِ عُتِيًّا} أَوْ {عُسُيًّا}۔

[Machine] I have learned everything from the Messenger of Allahﷺ except for three things. I do not know whether he used to recite in Zuhr and Asr prayers or not. And I do not know how he used to recite when he reached the age of old or illness. Huthayn said, "I forgot the third one." Abdullah said, "I heard all of them from Uthman ibn Muhammad."  

أحمد:٢٣٣٢ – حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
