[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ passed by a man who was saying, "O Allah, I ask You for patience." The Prophet replied, "You have indeed asked for tribulation, so ask Allah for well-being." The Prophet also passed by a man who was saying, "O Possessor of Majesty and Honor." The Prophet said, "Your request has been answered, so ask."  

أحمد:٢٢٠١٧ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الْوَرْدِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ ثُمَامَةَ ح وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي الْوَرْدِ بْنِ ثُمَامَةَ جَمِيعًا عَنِ اللَّجْلَاجِ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ قَالَ

مَرَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِرَجُلٍ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الصَّبْرَ فَقَالَ قَدْ سَأَلْتَ الْبَلَاءَ فَسَلِ اللهَ الْعَافِيَةَ قَالَ وَمَرَّ بِرَجُلٍ يَقُولُ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ قَالَ قَدْ اسْتُجِيبَ لَكَ فَسَلْ
