[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited the sale of fresh dates for dried dates and allowed the purchase of palm clusters with their ripened dates to be eaten by their owners as fresh. Sufyan said: Yahya bin Sa'id asked me, "What do the people of Mecca know about palm clusters?" I said, "Ata informed them, having heard it from Jabir."  

أحمد:١٦٠٩٢حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ بُشَيْرِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ قَالَ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِالثَّمَرِ بِالتَّمْرِ وَرَخَّصَ فِي الْعَرَايَا أَنْ تُشْتَرَى بِخَرْصِهَا يَأْكُلُهَا أَهْلُهَا رُطَبًا قَالَ سُفْيَانُ قَالَ لِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَمَا عِلْمُ أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ بِالْعَرَايَا؟ قُلْتُ أَخْبَرَهُمْ عَطَاءٌ سَمِعَهُ مِنْ جَابِرٍ
