Selling dry dates for fresh dates

[AI] Saad was asked about selling sult for barley or something like this, so he said: The Prophet ﷺ was asked about dry dates for fresh dates, and he said, "Do the fresh dates decrease when they dry?" They said, "Yes." He said, "Then no."

أحمد:١٥٥٢حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِي عَيَّاشٍ قَالَ

سُئِلَ سَعْدٌ عَنْ بَيْعِ سُلْتٍ بِشَعِيرٍ أَوْ شَيْءٍ مِنْ هَذَا، فَقَالَ: سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ تَمْرٍ بِرُطَبٍ، فَقَالَ: «تَنْقُصُ الرَّطْبَةُ إِذَا يَبِسَتْ؟» قَالُوا: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: «فَلَا إِذًا».
