ʿ The people of Makkah will leave and no one will come to it-or no one will come to it except a few-then it will be filled and built up, then they will leave it and never return to it.ʿ  

أحمد:١٥٢حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍأَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ سَيَخْرُجُ أَهْلُ مَكَّةَ ثُمَّ لَا يَعْبَرُ بِهَا أَوْ لَا يَعْبُرُ بِهَا إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ ثُمَّ تَمْتَلِئُ وَتُبْنَى ثُمَّ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنْهَا فَلا يَعُودُونَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا

[Machine] He informed him that he heard the Prophet ﷺ saying that the people of Makkah will leave it, then it will not be inhabited or it will be inhabited by only a few, then it will be rebuilt and filled, then they will leave it and never return to it.
