[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ ordered for all the dogs in the city to be killed. Then, the son of Umm Maktoom came and said, "I have a spacious house and I have a dog that helps me." So, he was given permission to keep his dog for a few days, but then the dog was ordered to be killed.  

أحمد:١٤٤٩٤حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبَانَ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ جَارِيَةَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ

أَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِكِلَابِ الْمَدِينَةِ أَنْ تُقْتَلَ فَجَاءَ ابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ فَقَالَ إِنَّ مَنْزِلِي شَاسِعٌ وَلِي كَلْبٌ فَرَخَّصَ لَهُ أَيَّامًا ثُمَّ أَمَرَ فَقُتِلَ كَلْبِهِ
