I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying in a single garment crossing the two ends. (Using translation from Muslim 518a)  

أحمد:١٤١٣٦ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ح وَأَبُو نُعَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ مُتَوَشِّحًا بِهِ قَالَ أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ وَرَأَيْتُ أَنَا جَابِرًا يُصَلِّي فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ مُتَوَشِّحًا بِهِ قَالَ أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ فِي حَدِيثِهِ وَرَأَيْتُ جَابِرًا يُصَلِّي وَلَمْيُسَمِّ أَبَا الزُّبَيْرِ
