ahmad:13347ʿAlī b. Isḥāq > ʿAbdullāh > Yūnus > al-Zuhrī Qālaʾakhbaranī Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to the Ansar, "Indeed, you will face severe hardships, so be patient until you meet Allah and His Messenger. Verily, I will be waiting for you at the Pond." They replied, "We will be patient." Then Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "If Allah wills." He concealed it, and I thought that he did not include it in the hadith.  

أحمد:١٣٣٤٧حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِلْأَنْصَارِ إِنَّكُمْ سَتَجِدُونَ أَثَرَةً شَدِيدَةً فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْا اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَإِنِّي عَلَى الْحَوْضِ قَالُوا سَنَصْبِرُ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ وَأَخْفَاهُ فَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ
