[Machine] "When the Muadhin stood up and called for the Maghrib prayer in the mosque in Madinah, whoever desired would stand and pray until the prayer was established. And whoever desired would perform two units of prayer, then sit, and this was done with the eye of the Prophet ﷺ."  

أحمد:١٣٠٥٨حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ الْحَدَّادُ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعَلَّى بْنُ جَابِرٍ يَعْنِي اللَّقِيطِيَّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

كَانَ إِذَا قَامَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ فَأَذَّنَ صَلَاةَ الْمَغْرِبِ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ بِالْمَدِينَةِ قَامَ مَنْ شَاءَ فَصَلَّى حَتَّى تُقَامَ الصَّلَاةُ وَمَنْ شَاءَ رَكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَعَدَ وَذَلِكَ بِعَيْنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ
