[Machine] "A man said, 'O Messenger of Allah, should one of us bow to his friend?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'No.' He asked, 'Should he then kiss him?' He said, 'No.' He asked, 'Should he then shake his hand?' He said, 'Yes, if he wishes.'"  

أحمد:١٣٠٤٤حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا حَنْظَلَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ السَّدُوسِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ قَالَ قَالَ

رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَحَدُنَا يَلْقَى صَدِيقَهُ أَيَنْحَنِي لَهُ؟ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا قَالَ فَيَلْتَزِمُهُ وَيُقَبِّلُهُ؟ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَيُصَافِحُهُ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ إِنْ شَاءَ

that a man said: "O Messenger of Allah! When a man among us meets his brother or his friend should he bow to him?" He said: "No." The man continued: "Should he embrace him and kiss him?" He said: "No." He said: "Should he take his hand and shake it?" He said: "Yes."  

Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ḥasan.

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ
