ahmad:124 – Yaḥyá b. Isḥāq > Ibn Lahīʿah > Abū al-Zubayr > Jābir Qālaʾakhbaranī ʿUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb

Umar bin al-Khattab ؓ told me: he heard the Prophet ﷺ ʿA rider will travel through the streets of Madinah, then he will say: There used to be many believers here.ʿ  

أحمد:١٢٤ – حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَأَخْبَرَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَيَسِيرَنَّ الرَّاكِبُ فِي جَنَبَاتِ الْمَدِينَةِ ثُمَّ لَيَقُولُ لَقَدْ كَانَ فِي هَذَا حَاضِرٌ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ كَثِيرٌ قَالَ أَبِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ وَلَمْ يَجُزْ بِهِ حَسَنٌ الْأَشْيَبُ جَابِرًا

"لَيَسِيرَنَّ الرَّاكِبُ في جَنَبَاتِ المَدِينَةِ، ثُمَّ لَيَقُولَنَّ: لَقَدَ كَانَ في هَذَا حَاضِرٌ منَ المُؤمِنِينَ كَثِيرٌ".
