ahmad-zuhd:899ʿAbdullāh from my father > Wakīʿ > Sufyān > ʿAmr b. ʿAmr Abū al-Zaʿrāʾ from his uncle Abū al-Aḥwaṣ

[Machine] Abdullah said, "No one is born a scholar, and knowledge is only acquired through learning."  

الزهد لأحمد:٨٩٩حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَمْرٍو أَبُو الزَّعْرَاءِ عَنْ عَمِّهِ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ قَالَ

قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَحَدًا لَا يُوَلَدُ عَالِمًا وَإِنَّمَا الْعِلْمُ بِالتَّعَلُّمِ
