[Machine] Abu Darda, I was a merchant during the time of ignorance, but when Islam came, I combined trade and worship, but they did not align for me, so I turned to worship and abandoned trade.  

الزهد لأحمد:٧٤٣حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ قَالَ

أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ كُنْتُ تَاجِرًا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَلَمَّا جَاءَ الْإِسْلَامُ أَخَذْتُ التِّجَارَةَ وَالْعِبَادَةَ فَلَمْ يَجْتَمِعَا لِي فَأَقْبَلْتُ عَلَى الْعِبَادَةِ وَتَرَكْتُ التِّجَارَةَ
