الزهد لأحمد:٦٧٤ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أبِي حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ وَقَالَ فَيَّاضٌ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ بُرْقَانَ عَنِ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ فِي حَدِيثِهِ قَالَ

«رَأَيْتُ عُثْمَانَ نَائِمًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فِي مِلْحَفَةٍ لَيْسَ حَوْلَهُ أَحَدٌ وَهُوَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ»
