الزهد لأحمد:٣٨٤ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أبِي حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَحِيرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ وَهْبَ بْنَ مُنَبِّهٍ يَقُولُ إِنَّ مُوسَى قَالَ لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ ائْتُونِي بِخَيْرِكُمْ رَجُلًا فَأَتَوْهُ بِرَجُلٍ فَقَالَ أَنْتَ خَيْرُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ؟ قَالَ كَذَلِكَ يَزْعُمُونَ قَالَ اذْهَبْ فَأْتِنِي بِشَرِّهِمْ قَالَ فَذَهَبَ فَجَاءَ وَلَيْسَ مَعَهُ أَحَدٌ فَقَالَ جِئْتَنِي بِشَرِّهِمْ؟ قَالَ

أَنَا مَا أَعْلَمُ مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِنْهُمْ مَا أَعْلَمُ مِنْ نَفْسِي قَالَ أَنْتَ خَيْرُهُمْ
