ahmad-zuhd:2297ʿAbdullāh > Abū Bakr b. Abū Shaybah And Ḥusayn b. Yazīd > ʿAbd al-Salām b. Ḥarb > Khalaf b. Ḥawshab

[Machine] Ibrahim said, "I did not read this verse without being reminded of the coldness of the dust and he recited, 'And there will be a barrier between them and what they desire.' [Surah Saba, 54]"  

الزهد لأحمد:٢٢٩٧حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَحُسَيْنُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ السَّلَامِ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنْ خَلَفِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ قَالَ

قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ مَا قَرَأْتُ يَعْنِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ إِلَّا ذَكَرْتُ بَرْدَ التُّرَابِ وَقَرَأَ {وَحِيلَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ مَا يَشْتَهُونَ} [سبأ 54]
