[Machine] The rain failed during the reign of a king from the kings, specifically from the Children of Israel. He said, "People went out seeking rain, so he said, 'If it does not rain, I will anger him.' They asked, 'How will you anger him? With what will you anger him?' He replied, 'I will kill his righteous ones.' They said, 'So they became corrupt.'  

الزهد لأحمد:٢٢٩٢حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ أَشْعَثَ أَوْ يَعْقُوبَ أَوْ كِلَاهُمَا عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي وَحْشِيَّةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ

قَحَطَ الْمَطَرُ عَلَى عَهْدِ مَلِكٍ مِنَ الْمُلُوكِ يَعْنِي مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ قَالَ فَخَرَجَ النَّاسُ يَسْتَسْقُونَ فَقَالَ لَئِنْ لَمْ يَسْقِنَا لَأُغِيظَنَّهُ قَالُوا كَيْفَ تُغِيظُهُ بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ تُغِيظُهُ؟ قَالَ أَقْتُلُ أَوْلِيَاءَهُ قَالَ فَسُقُوا
