ahmad-zuhd:2256 – ʿAbdullāh from my father > Wakīʿ > Sufyān > Abū Sahl Wahū ʿUthmān b. Ḥakīm > Saʿīd b. al-Musayyib > Mā Adhhan al-Muʾadhhin Mundh Thalāthīn Sanah Illā

[Machine] I heard Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib say, "I have not missed a call to prayer (adhan) in the mosque for the past thirty years."

الزهد لأحمد:٢٢٥٦ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي سَهْلٍ وَهُوَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ يَقُولُ «مَا أَذَّنَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ مُنْذُ ثَلَاثِينَ سَنَةً إِلَّا وَأَنَا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ»
