الزهد لأحمد:٢١٣٩ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي سُفْيَانُ بْنُ وَكِيعٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ قَالَ قِيلَ لِمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ أَيُّ الْعَمَلِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْكَ؟ قَالَ

إِدْخَالُ السُّرُورِ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِ قِيلَ مَا بَقِيَ مِنْ لَدُنْكَ؟ قَالَ «الْإِفْضَالُ عَلَى الْإِخْوَانِ»
