ahmad-zuhd:2047ʿAbdullāh from my father > Muḥammad b. Sābiq > Mālik > Ṭalḥah

[Machine] Masrooq said, "The people who face hardships in this world wish that their suffering is rewarded on the Day of Judgment. To the extent that one of them wishes that their skin was cut in this world with razorblades."  

الزهد لأحمد:٢٠٤٧حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَابِقٍ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ طَلْحَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ مَسْرُوقٌ «يَوَدُّ أَهْلُ الْبَلَاءِ فِي الدُّنْيَا إِذَا أُثِيبُوا عَلَى بَلَائِهِمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى إِنَّ أَحَدَهُمْ يَتَمَنَّى لَوْ أَنَّ جِلْدَهُ كَانَ قُرِضَ فِي الدُّنْيَا بِالْمَقَارِيضِ»
