[Machine] We used to visit Murrah Al-Hamdani and we would see the trace of prostration on his forehead, hands, knees, and feet. He would then sit with us for a while and then he would stand up, as it was only a bow and prostration.  

الزهد لأحمد:٢٠٢٦حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ شُجَاعٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنِي الْعَلَاءُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ الْأَيَامِيِّ قَالَ

كُنَّا نَأْتِي مُرَّةَ الْهَمْدَانِيَّ فَيَخْرُجُ فَنَرَى أَثَرَ السُّجُودِ فِي جَبْهَتِهِ وَكَفَّيْهِ وَرُكْبَتَيْهِ وَقَدَمَيْهِ قَالَ فَيَجْلِسُ مَعَنَا هُنَيَّةً ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ رُكُوعٌ وَسُجُودٌ
