الزهد لأحمد:١٩٨٦ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي يَعْلَى وَبَكْرِ بْنِ مَاعِزٍ عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ قَالَ

«إِنَّ لِلْحَدِيثِ ضَوْءًا كَضَوْءِ النَّهَارِ تَعْرِفُهُ وَظُلْمَةً كَظُلْمَةِ اللَّيْلِ تُنْكِرُهُ»
