[Machine] About this verse, "They will abide therein for ages [234]" [Surah An-Naba 23], Al-Hasan said, "As for the ages, there is no number for them except eternity in the Fire. However, they have mentioned that one age is seventy thousand years. Within each of these seventy thousand years are what you count."  

الزهد لأحمد:١٦٦٥حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ وَجَدتُ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ الْحَدَّادُ عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ وَاصِلٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ

عَنِ الْحَسَنِ فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ {لَابِثِينَ فِيهَا [234] أَحْقَابًا} [النبأ 23] قَالَ أَمَّا الْأَحْقَابُ فَلَيْسَ لَهَا عِدَّةٌ إِلَّا الْخُلُودَ فِي النَّارِ وَلَكِنْ قَدْ ذَكَرُوا أَنَّ الْحُقْبَ الْوَاحِدَ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ مِنْ ذَلِكَ السَّبْعِينَ أَلْفُ سَنَةٍ مِمَّا تَعُدُّونَ
