[Machine] "When the Prophet married Fatimah, what was prepared for her was a straw mattress and a pillow filled with palm fibers, and a sheep skin." He said, "And they brought a heap of sand and spread it in the house."  

الزهد لأحمد:١٥٠حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْمَدَنِيُّ أَنَّ عِكْرِمَةَ حَدَّثَهُمْ قَالَ

«لَمَّا زَوَّجَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَاطِمَةَ ؓ كَانَ مَا جُهِّزَتْ بِهِ سَرِيرٌ مُشَرَّطٌ وَوِسَادَةٌ مِنْ أَدَمٍ حَشْوُهَا لِيفٌ وَثَوْرٌ مِنْ أَقِطٍ» قَالَ «وَجَاءُوا بِبَطْحَاءَ فَنَثَرُوهَا فِي الْبَيْتِ»
