[Machine] I heard my father say, "How strange is the son of Adam! While his heart is focused on the hereafter, he scratches an itch caused by a small thorn and forgets about the hereafter."  

الزهد لأحمد:١٤٢١حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي هَارُونُ عَنْ سَيَّارٍ حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ شُمَيْطٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ «عَجَبًا لِابْنِ آدَمَ فَبَيْنَمَا قَلْبُهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ وَحَكَّهُ بُرْغُوثٌ فَنَسِيَ الْآخِرَةَ»
