[Machine] From Qatada's statement, "Indeed in that are signs for every patient and grateful person" [Ibrahim 5]. He said, "Mutarrif used to say, 'What a great servant is the patient and grateful one, who shows gratitude when given something and remains patient when tested.' "  

الزهد لأحمد:١٣٤١حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ

عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلَهُ ﷻ {إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُورٍ} [إبراهيم 5] قَالَ كَانَ مُطَرِّفٌ يَقُولُ «نِعْمَ الْعَبْدُ الصَّبَّارُ الشَّكُورُ الَّذِي إِذَا أُعْطِيَ شَكَرَ وَإِذَا ابْتُلِيَ صَبَرَ»
