[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was on the pulpit saying, "I warn you against the Fire," until one of the corners of his cloak slipped from his shoulder as he was saying, "I warn you against the Fire." Had this been my place, I would have made the people of the market or whomever Allah willed among them hear it, while I was on the pulpit of Al-Kufah.  

الزهد لأحمد:١١٦حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَقُولُ «أُنْذِرُكُمُ النَّارَ» حَتَّى سَقَطَ إِحْدَى عِطْفَي رِدَائِهِ عَنْ مَنْكِبِهِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ «أُنْذِرُكُمُ النَّارَ» وَلَوْ كَانَ مَكَانِي هَذَا لَأَسْمَعَ أَهْلَ السُّوقِ أَوْ مَنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُمْ وَهُوَ عَلَى مِنْبَرِ الْكُوفَةِ
