ahmad-zuhd:1074 – ʿAbdullāh from my father > Bahz > Jaʿfar b. Sulaymān > Asmāʾ b. ʿUbayd > Nāfiʿ

[Machine] And he passes by a verse in which the mention of the fire is there, so he stops and he prays and seeks refuge in Allah.  

الزهد لأحمد:١٠٧٤ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنِي بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ حَدَّثَنِي أَسْمَاءُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ قَالَ كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَقْرَأُ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَيَمُرُّ بِالْآيَةِ فِيهَا ذِكْرُ الْجَنَّةِ فَيَقِفُ وَيَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ وَيَدْعُو وَيَبْكِي قَالَ

وَيَمُرُّ بِالْآيَةِ فِيهَا ذِكْرُ النَّارِ فَيَقِفُ فَيَدْعُو وَيَسْتَجِيرُ بِاللَّهِ ﷻ
