'Abdullah ibn az-Zubayr said, "I have never seen two women more generous than 'A'isha and Asma'. Their generosity was different. 'A'isha used to gather things and after they had been collected together, she would share them out. Asma' would not keep anything for the next day."  

الأدب المفرد:٢٨٠حَدَّثَنَا فَرْوَةُ بْنُ أَبِي الْمَغْرَاءِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ

مَا رَأَيْتُ امْرَأَتَيْنِ أَجْوَدَ مِنْ عَائِشَةَ وَأَسْمَاءَ وَجُودُهُمَا مُخْتَلِفٌ أَمَّا عَائِشَةُ فَكَانَتْ تَجْمَعُ الشَّيْءَ إِلَى الشَّيْءِ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ اجْتَمَعَ عِنْدَهَا قَسَمَتْ وَأَمَّا أَسْمَاءُ فَكَانَتْ لاَ تُمْسِكُ شَيْئًا لِغَدٍ
