abudawud:679 – Yaḥyá b. Maʿīn > ʿAbd al-Razzāq > ʿIkrimah b. ʿAmmār > Yaḥyá b. Abū Kathīr > Abū Salamah > ʿĀʾishah

‘A’ishah reported the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying the people will continue to keep themselves away from the front row until Allah will keep them away (from the front) in the Hell-fire.  

أبو داود:٦٧٩ – حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يَزَالُ قَوْمٌ يَتَأَخَّرُونَ عَنِ الصَّفِّ الأَوَّلِ حَتَّى يُؤَخِّرَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِي النَّارِ
