I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at Mina giving sermon on a mule and wearing a red garment, while Ali was announcing.  

أبو داود:٤٠٧٣ – حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ هِلاَلِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِمِنًى يَخْطُبُ عَلَى بَغْلَةٍ وَعَلَيْهِ بُرْدٌ أَحْمَرُ وَعَلِيٌّ ؓ أَمَامَهُ يُعَبِّرُ عَنْهُ
