She should abandon prayer during her menstrual period, then wash and pray ; then she should wash during her menstrual period.  

أبو داود:٣٠٣ – حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ الْقَاسِمَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْمُسْتَحَاضَةِ فَقَالَ

تَدَعُ الصَّلاَةَ أَيَّامَ أَقْرَائِهَا ثُمَّ تَغْتَسِلُ فَتُصَلِّي ثُمَّ تَغْتَسِلُ فِي الأَيَّامِ

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet, may ﷺ , he said, "A woman experiencing menstruation leaves the prayer for the days of her menstruation, then she cleanses herself and prays. Then, she performs ablution for every prayer."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «الْمُسْتَحَاضَةُ تَدَعُ الصَّلَاةَ أَيَّامَ أَقْرَائِهَا ثُمَّ تَغْتَسِلُ وَتُصَلِّي ثُمَّ الْوُضُوءُ لِكُلِّ صَلَاةٍ»
