abudawud:1858 – [Chain 1] Ibn al-Muthanná > ʿAbd al-Wahhāb [Chain 2] Naṣr b. ʿAlī > Yazīd b. Zurayʿ And Hadhā Lafẓ Ibn al-Muthanná > Dāwud > ʿĀmir > Kaʿb b. ʿUjrah

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came upon him (during their stay) at al-Hudaybiyyah. He then narrated the rest of the tradition. This version adds: "He asked: Do you have a sacrificial animal? He replied: No. He then said: Fast three days or give three sa's of dates to six poor people, giving one sa' to every two persons."

أبو داود:١٨٥٨ – حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ وَهَذَا لَفْظُ ابْنِ الْمُثَنَّى عَنْ دَاوُدَ عَنْ عَامِرٍ عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَرَّ بِهِ زَمَنَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ فَذَكَرَ الْقِصَّةَ فَقَالَ أَمَعَكَ دَمٌ قَالَ لاَ قَالَ فَصُمْ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ أَوْ تَصَدَّقْ بِثَلاَثَةِ آصُعٍ مِنْ تَمْرٍ عَلَى سِتَّةِ مَسَاكِينَ بَيْنَ كُلِّ مِسْكِينَيْنِ صَاعٌ

[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to me during the time of Hudaybiyah while I had a lot of hair. He said, 'Does it bother you if I cut your hair?' I replied, 'Of course not.' He said, 'Then shave it off, sacrifice a sheep, fast for three days, or give charity equivalent to three sa' of dates to six poor people.'"
