I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ supplicating Allah in this manner with the palms of his hands and also with their backs upwards.
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَدْعُو هَكَذَا بِبَاطِنِ كَفَّيْهِ وَظَاهِرِهِمَا
[AI] The Prophet ﷺ was standing in Arafat and supplicating in this manner. He raised his hands towards the sky and placed the palms of his hands towards his stomach, extended below his waistline.
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَاقِفًا بِعَرَفَةَ يَدْعُو هَكَذَا وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حِيَالَ ثَنْدُوَتَيْهِ وَجَعَلَ بُطُونَ كَفَّيْهِ مِمَّا يَلِي الْأَرْضَ
[AI] I saw the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , making this supplication at Arafat and he placed the palms of his hands pointing downwards towards the ground.
