A’ishah said The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ gave us our choice and we chose him so that was not reckoned anything (i.e., divorce)  

خَيَّرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَاخْتَرْنَاهُ فَلَمْ يَعُدَّ ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا
