"A man among us would be known by two or three names. He would be called by one that perhaps he disliked, so this Ayah was revealed: Nor insult with nicknames (49:11)."
كَانَ الرَّجُلُ مِنَّا يَكُونُ لَهُ الاِسْمَيْنِ وَالثَّلاَثَةَ فَيُدْعَى بِبَعْضِهَا فَعَسَى أَنْ يَكْرَهَ قَالَ فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الآيَةُ ( وَلاَ تَنَابَزُوا بِالأَلْقَابِ )
