[Machine] We used to sit with Abu Umamah Al-Bahili and he would narrate to us many stories about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . And when he would pause, he would say, "Did you understand? Convey the message just as I have conveyed it to you."  

الطبراني:٧٦٧٣حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ سُلَيْمِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ

كُنَّا نَجْلِسُ إِلَى أَبِي أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيِّ فَيُحَدِّثُنَا حَدِيثًا كَثِيرًا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَإِذَا سَكَتَ قَالَ «أَعَقِلْتُمْ؟ بَلِّغُوا كَمَا بُلِّغْتُمْ»
