[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to remain silent, and they would speak about matters of ignorance and laugh and smile with him.  

الطبراني:١٩٩٩حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْفُرَاتِ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ثنا عَنْبَسَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

«كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُطِيلُ الصَّمْتَ فَيَتَحَدَّثُونَ بِأَمْرِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَيَضْحَكُونَ ويَبْتَسِمُ مَعَهُمْ»
