He also said through this chain: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Cutting of the hand is not to be inflicted on one who is treacherous.

أبو داود:٤٣٩٢ – وَبِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَيْسَ عَلَى الْخَائِنِ قَطْعٌ

ibnhibban:4458 – Abū ʿArūbah Biḥirrān > Muḥammad b. Bashhār > Muʾammal b. Ismāʿīl > Sufyān > Abū al-Zubayr > Jābir

That the Prophet ﷺ said: "There is no cutting of the hand for the traitor, or the embezzler, nor the plunderer." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1448)
