He heard his father narrating that he heard Aishah say: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would not omit four rak'ahs before Zuhr and two rak'ahs before Fajr.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يَدَعُ أَرْبَعًا قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الصُّبْحِ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ هَذَا الصَّوَابُ عِنْدَنَا وَحَدِيثُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عُمَرَ خَطَأٌ وَاللَّهُ تَعَالَى أَعْلَمُ
